According to The Daily Star, Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has not given up on signing Rodrigo de Paul from Udinese.

It has been reported that Bielsa is ‘still trying to’ secure the services of the Argentina international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.

A report in The Mirror this week claimed that Leeds are refusing to meet Udinese’s asking price of £35 million for De Paul, and that the Whites’ bid to sign him ‘is at an impasse’.

The report claimed that the Premier League club want to pay £22.3 million, but they are also looking at Rangers winger Ryan Kent as an alternative.

Could Rodrigo De Paul end up at Leeds United?

It seems that Bielsa still hopes to have his Argentine compatriot at Elland Road before the summer transfer window closes.

However, if Leeds do not pay what Udinese want, then the Whites could miss out on him.

Perhaps in the end, the 26-year-old’s desire could be decisive. If the Argentine is keen on a move to Leeds, then a transfer could well happen in the final days of the window.
