Report: Marcelo Bielsa ready to pay £20m to bring in-demand international to Leeds

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa is ready to pay £20 million to sign Robin Koch, who is also on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United among other clubs, according to The Sun.

Tottenham, Newcastle, Lazio and RB Leipzig are interested in signing Koch from Freiburg in the summer transfer window, according to the British tabloid.

However, it is promoted side Leeds who are reported to set to make the first move, with head coach Bielsa ready to pay £20 million as transfer fee for the ball-playing Germany international central defender.

The Whites want Ben White, but Brighton and Hove Albion are not willing to sell him, while Freiburg are ready to cash in on the 24-year-old this summer, it has been claimed.

Good signing for Leeds United?

White was superb for Leeds during his loan spell at Elland Road last season, and there is no surprise that the Whites reportedly want to sign him on a permanent contract.

However, with Brighton reportedly not willing to sell the 22-year-old, Leeds need to move on, and signing Koch would not be a move.

The 24-year-old has played twice for the Germany national football team and is an established player in the Bundesliga.
