West Ham United defender James Collins has been linked with a return to the London Stadium.

Manuel Pellegrini appeared to be happy to move into the new campaign without Collins, and they allowed the centre-back’s contract to expire.
However, the Welsh international has been back training with West Ham, and now could be offered a one-year deal.
West Ham’s defensive options have looked questionable so far this season, with both new additions, Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop struggling.
Balbuena and Angelo Ogbonna have been West Ham’s first choice centre-back pairing so far, but the Hammers have conceded six goals in their first two matches.

Collins’ experience is now said to be seen as potentially valuable to this new look West Ham side.
If Collins does return to the London Stadium, he could be offered a one-year deal by Pellegrini.
