The Southampton striker could be sold to raise funds for the club’s new manager.

The Southampton striker, Manolo Gabbiadini, wants to quit St Mary’s in January and return to Italy with Fiorentina, according to the Daily Mirror (December 20, page 58).
The newspaper claims that the new Saints manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl, is willing to cash in on Gabbiadini after being told he must sell players before he can buy.
The Italy international scored six goals in his first 12 games for Southampton, following a £15 million move from Sampdoria two years ago.
But he has only managed the same amount in 48 attempts since then, and was left out of Hasenhuttl’s squad for Sunday’s win against Arsenal.

Hasenhuttl has already been linked with a move for one of his former players, Davie Selke, who could potentially replace Gabbiadini.
The Daily Mirror reported earlier this month that Selke is top of the Austrian’s shopping list and would cost Southampton £14 million.
