Manchester United are reportedly more interested in Celtic’s Kieran Tierney due to Luke Shaw’s recent improvement.

The Record reports that Mourinho wants to strengthen his options on the left-hand side of the defence and had been eyeing up a big-money move for Alex Sandro from Juventus, while he has also been impressed with Tierney and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.

However, the situation has become slightly more complicated recently with Shaw – who the Record reports, has been offered out to other English clubs – coming back into the Red Devils’ side for the last three games and impressing his manager for several reasons.

It would hardly be a surprise if that potential proposal does not appeal to Tierney too much if United do come calling in the near future. Tierney is a Celtic fan, and, as the Record reports, has recently committed his future to the Parkhead club by signing a contract until 2023.
And with the Scotland international less than two years younger than the 22-year-old Shaw, it is not as if the man ahead of him in the pecking order will definitely be out of the way in a few years like a much older teammate would be – and that should surely tempt Tierney to seriously think about what is the best decision for his career if United do make a bid at some point.
