Manchester United are reportedly lining up a summer swoop for the West Bromwich Albion ace.

According to a report from the Mirror, Manchester United are lining up a £3 million swoop for West Bromwich Albion centre-back Jonny Evans this summer, with Jose Mourinho thought to be keen on bolstering his defensive options at Old Trafford.
The Baggies ace has a £3 million release clause inserted into his current contract at the Hawthorns – one that will be activated when their relegation down to the Championship is confirmed.
The Mirror claim that United want to secure themselves a bargain by bringing the Northern Ireland international back to Old Trafford this summer, although they will face competition for his signature from a whole host of Premier League clubs.

Good signing for United?
Evans is one of the top flight’s best defenders, and has proved himself to be a real elite performer since joining West Brom from Manchester United in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £6 million.

The 30-year-old is commanding in the air, and possesses the wonderful ability of being able to read the game.
He is also incredibly experienced, and would be a solid signing for United, especially for the reported fee of just £3 million.
