Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff is reportedly on the radar of Manchester United.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that United have made moves for 21-year-old Newcastle midfielder Longstaff.
The report has also claimed that the Red Devils have made moves for Swansea City winger Daniel James, Norwich City’s Ben Godfrey – who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder – and 18-year-old Stoke City central defender Nathan Collins.
According to The Sun, Solskjaer wants to made sure that he has signed Longstaff, James, Godfrey and Collins by the time pre-season training starts at the start of July.
It may not be easy for United to bring Longstaff to Old Trafford, though, with The Daily Star reporting that Newcastle want to keep hold of the 21-year-old midfielder and hand him a new contract.
According to WhoScored, the 21-year-old made eight starts and one substitute appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle this season, scoring one goal in the process.
