Manchester United are reportedly making a move for John McGinn.

According to The Sun, Manchester United are surprisingly interested in snapping up Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn.
The Red Devils have already splashed the cash on British talent by signing defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and winger Daniel James, and more could be coming.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for energy in his midfield after losing Ander Herrera to Paris Saint-Germain, and nobody quite embodies that like Aston Villa star McGinn.
The Scottish star was relentless in Villa’s engine room, putting himself on United’s radar after winning promotion to the Premier League, even scoring in the play-off final.
United are allegedly doing major research into McGinn having allegedly make background checks ahead of a bid, but Villa would demand a staggering £50million.
That’s a huge asking price after Steve Bruce paid just £2.75million to sign McGinn from Hibernian last summer, but it just goes to show how important he has become to Dean Smith’s side.

McGinn isn’t just a willing runner; he has great quality on the ball too, and at just 24, he looks to have his best football ahead of him.
Villa will hope that future is at Villa Park, hence their staggering asking price, but it was only a matter of time before major Premier League clubs took notice of his progress in claret and blue.
