The Crystal Palace right-back is reportedly wanted as Antonio Valencia’s replacement at Manchester United.
Manchester United are stepping up their interest in the Crystal Palace right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to The Sun.
The newspaper claims United want Wan-Bissaka as Antonio Valencia’s replacement, with the Ecuadorian expected to leave on a free transfer.
And it adds the Red Devils are ‘understood to be looking at making an offer when the transfer window opens in May’.
A valuation of £40 million has again been suggested by The Sun, which has previously credited Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund with interest in the Crystal Palace academy product.
Wan-Bissaka broke into Palace’s first-team in the second half of last season, before swiftly establishing himself as a regular under Roy Hodgson.
And the Eagles may find themselves in a strong position to resist any offers, having tied down the 21-year-old to a new four-year contract last April.
That said, The Sun reported last month that Crystal Palace could use Wan-Bissaka’s sale ‘to help with the overhaul of an ageing squad’ this summer.
As well as Valencia, Manchester United count the ageing Ashley Young and inexperienced Diogo Dalot as options in the Londoner’s position.
