Manchester United reportedly looked at Paris Saint-Germain right back Serge Aurier on Tuesday night.
According to The Mirror, Manchester United scouted Paris Saint-Germain right back Serge Aurier during Tuesday’s clash between France and Ivory Coast.
The Red Devils splashed the cash over the summer to sign Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but results this season show that Jose Mourinho still needs to improve the squad at Old Trafford.

One potential area to improve is at right back. Matteo Darmian hasn’t quite had the desired impact since his 2015 move from Torino, whilst Antonio Valencia is out of contract at the end of the season.
Now, The Mirror claim that United have had their eye on a right back, and it’s Ibrahimovic’s former Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Serge Aurier.

Aurier, 23, has starred for PSG since signing from Ligue 1 rivals Toulouse in 2014, and whilst he had a fall-out with former boss Laurent Blanc, he’s back to impressing for the Ligue 1 champions this term.
A powerful and pacey right back who loves to get forward, Aurier has been linked with the Premier League for some time now, and it’s claimed that United are keen to bring him to England having sent a scout to watch him in action for Ivory Coast against France on Tuesday night.

It’s suggested that United may have to pay around £18m to land Aurier, and that move would not only give him a reunion with Zlatan, but also with Bailly.
Aurier and Bailly are team-mates in the Ivory Coast defence, and Mourinho may feel that their chemistry at the back would benefit United’s defensive cohesion.
