ESPN report that nine United players are free to be shipped on, permitted a suitable proposal is submitted.
Evidently, a clear-out of the defence is a high priority.

Brandon Williams, Diogo Dalot, Phil Jones, Alex Telles and Axel Tuanzebe have all been listed as sellable assets.
However, moving on the quintet individually certainly has its hurdles.
Telles is currently out injured with an ankle problem, whilst Jones only just returned to fitness after a long layoff.
There is definite interest in Williams and Dalot, although due to United’s full-back situation, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might have to hold back on selling the pair for now.
Luke Shaw is set to have the broken ribs he suffered during the European Championships examined.
With Telles already omitted, this could leave the Red Devils without a recognised left-back for when they face Leeds United on the 14th of August.
Tuanzebe is probably the most likely to exit Old Trafford, as Newcastle United step up their chase for the defender.
Jesse, James and Andreas
Moving further upfield, ESPN say Jesse Lingard, Daniel James and Andreas Pereira could also be sold or loaned out.
West Ham United have not dropped their pursuit of Lingard, following his excellent spell in London from January to the end of the campaign.
Pereira could well part ways with United, having forever struggled to break into the first-team.
James is an interesting dilemma.
Solskjaer handed the Welshman quite a few starts towards the end of 2020/21 and he performed well at the Euros.
However, thanks to the arrival of Jadon Sancho, the former Swansea City winger is likely to be limited to cameo and substitute roles.
What’s missing for Martial?
Martial meanwhile is the stickiest saga of all.
The Frenchman missed a big chunk of the previous term due to a ruptured knee ligament.
His form has fluctuated ever since United signed him in 2015 from Monaco for £36m (BBC).
At 25-years of age, he should be entering into the prime of his career.
Unfortunately, thanks to inconsistencies and a period on the sidelines, that ship may have just sailed past him.
Plenty of clubs would still take on Martial’s services, although understandably, they may approach him with caution.
