Manchester United won’t give up on Arturo Vidal without one last attempt to land him, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
After weeks of speculation, Manchester United could make a dramatic last-gasp attempt to snatch Arturo Vidal away from Juventus.
The Chilean playmaker has been repeatedly linked with Old Trafford, but so far the Italian champions have maintained their grip on him.
But with Manchester United suffering a miserable start to their campaign, Louis van Gaal appears to be determined to snap up Vidal in addition to Angel Di Maria.
The paper indicates that Juventus are braced for a final push from United and are trying to work out whether or not they can resist.
It is suggested that the Premier League side will offer at least £40 million in immediate cash, but that Juventus are steeling themselves to reject it.
Tuttosport says that while anything can happen in the transfer market, Juventus have shut the door on Vidal and already prepared for a season with him and have no intention of changing that at the eleventh hour.
