Anderson is reportedly back in Brazil ahead of a proposed permanent transfer away from Manchester United.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United midfielder Anderson has flown to Brazil to complete a planned move to Internacional.

An earlier report from the Daily Mail claimed the 26-year-old would arrive in Porto Alegre on Monday to finalise the deal, but the MEN claims he in fact travelled there on Saturday and is already in place to complete a deal.

The Brazilian has featured just twice for United’s senior team this season, playing in the 4-0 League Cup defeat against MK Dons and briefly in the 0-0 draw against Burnley back in August.

Since then he has had to make do with outings in the under-21s and with a contract that expires this summer, it appears his time at Old Trafford is finally nearing its end.

Anderson is a fan favourite for his demeanour but unfortunately he has rarely been able to replicate the form that prompted Sir Alex Ferguson to sign him as a youngster.

He still has time to turn his career around but it seems, if the latest report is true, that United have seen the last of him.
