Manchester United’s Luke Shaw has reportedly resigned himself to leaving this summer.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United left back Luke Shaw is resigned to leaving Old Trafford this summer, with Tottenham potentially viewing him as a target.
Shaw, 21, emerged through the famed Southampton academy and made 67 appearances for the club before earning a big-money move to Manchester United in the summer of 2014.
United forked out £27million (BBC Sport) to land Shaw, who had established himself as one of English football’s top young talents, and he made 20 appearances in his first season with the Red Devils.
Unfortunately, Shaw suffered a double leg fracture last season to limit him to just eight appearances, and he has struggled to nail down a regular first-team spot under Jose Mourinho.
Now Mourinho’s fourth choice at left back behind Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian, and The Mirror report that Shaw has resigned himself to leaving Old Trafford in search of first-team football.
Shaw needs regular playing time to realise his potential, and it’s suggested that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino – who coached Shaw at Southampton – could be interested.

Shaw thrived under Pochettino, and Spurs have a number of impressive English players at White Hart Lane already in Kyle Walker, Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Harry Winks, Dele Alli and Harry Kane, meaning Shaw makes sense as a target.
However, it’s stated that Spurs will only move for Shaw if they end up having to sell Rose, with Manchester City keen on the Tottenham – and given Pochettino’s history with Shaw, he could be an ideal replacement should any deal be struck.
