Manchester United are lining up a summer swoop for Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, according to the Manchester Evening News, with Jose Mourinho keen on bolstering his options in the right-back department.

The 22-year-old joined the Gunners from Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy in the summer of 2011, and he has since gone on to establish himself as one of the continent’s finest right-backs.

Manchester Evening News claims that sources close to the player have told them that the Red Devils have already contacted Bellerin’s representatives regarding the possibility of signing the Spaniard in the summer.

The full-back is under contract at the Emirates until 2023, so Arsenal hold all of the cards, and they surely would not be keen on selling another one of their best players to United, regardless of the price.

Bellerin has made 152 senior appearances for the Gunners, and has firmly established himself as a fan favourite at the Emirates.

According to Transfer Markt, the Spaniard is valued at £30.8 million, and if United manage to secure his signature for anything like that amount, it could turn out to be a wonderful piece of business for the Red Devils.
