Manchester United have reportedly failed with a move for Idrissa Gueye.

According to The Express, Manchester United have failed with a late £28million move for Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
Gueye is on the verge of a move back to France, as he will undergo a medical with Paris Saint-Germain imminently, completing a £28million switch.
However, that move was almost put under threat, as Premier League rivals United seemingly caught wind of the move, and offered to match PSG’s bid.
However, Gueye has snubbed the Red Devils in order to complete his move to PSG, seemingly fancying a return to France over staying in the Premier League.
Gueye spent seven years of his career in France with Lille, before heading off to the Premier League with Aston Villa in 2015, then Everton a year later.
It’s also no great shock that Gueye has picked PSG given that they have been chasing him for so long, a major show of confidence for the player.

Add in that PSG can offer him Champions League football – which United can’t – and the alleged decision is far from a surprise.
Gueye will still leave Everton, but they’ll make a huge profit on the 29-year-old, and the money can be reinvested in a replacement, most likely on Mainz midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin.
