According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have held talks to sign Newcastle target Benjamin Sesko.
What’s the story?
Well, speculation surrounding the 19-year-old wonderkid is beginning to hot up after he scored against Liverpool on Wednesday, as RB Salzburg recorded a 1-0 win over the Reds.
Now, the Manchester Evening News believe John Murtough met with Elvis Basanovic – the agent of Sesko – on Wednesday to discuss a potential deal.
Erik ten Hag is keen to bring a new forward to Old Trafford, and the attention is now on the £55m teenager after Manchester United faced difficulty in signing Brian Brobbey and Antony.
However, there is another potential issue on the horizon for the Red Devils.
It has been said that Newcastle are interested in Sesko, and the talented teenager is actually tempted by a move to Tyneside this summer.
Wolves are also said to be keen on signing the Slovenia international.

Interest in Sesko comes after he scored ten goals in 36 appearances last season, while also providing seven assists.
So far this term, the RB Salzburg No.30 has two goals in two games, so he is showing no sign of slowing down whatsoever.
Manchester United or Newcastle could sign a special player
In our view, Sesko is heading right for the very top, and whoever gets their hands on him this summer will secure themselves a special talent.
The teenager has been described as one of the fastest players on the planet by Basanovic, which is a very interesting feature of his game given the fact he stands at 6ft 4in.
Consequently, Sesko has been compared to Erling Haaland, another towering forward who possesses pace which defies his size.

At the age of 19, the Radece-born striker has already gained Champions League experience, while also winning 13 caps for Slovenia, which speaks volumes about his ability.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as interest in Sesko is certainly heating up.
