Report: Manchester United have scouted Leicester City duo James Maddison and Ben Chilwell

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are reportedly interested in Leicester City star James Maddison.

According to The Sun, Manchester United scouted James Maddison during Leicester City’s recent games against Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in the Premier League.

Maddison was in action for Leicester against Liverpool away from home at Anfield on October 5 and against Tottenham at the King Power Stadium on September 21.

The report has claimed that United had scouts present to watch the 22-year-old attacking midfielder and defender Ben Chilwell in action for the Foxes against the Reds and Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested as well

Interestingly, Tottenham are also reported to be interested in securing the services of Maddison.

According to The Daily Star (print edition, page 51, October 5, 2019), Spurs are looking at Maddison as a replacement for Christian Eriksen in the summer of 2020 (click here to read more).

Promising talent

Maddison is one of the best and most creative young attacking players in the Premier League.

According to WhoScored, the 22-year-old Englishman has scored two goals and provided two assists in seven Premier League appearances for Leicester so far this season, and scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 36 league matches for the Foxes in 2018-19.
