Liverpool have been linked with Kim Min-jae, but it does now appear very likely that Jurgen Klopp’s side will miss out on the Napoli central defender to Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.
Earlier this month, FootMercato reported that Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Kim Min-jae from Napoli in the summer transfer window.
The report in the French media claimed that United were rushing to get a deal done for the South Korea international, who helped Napoli win the Serie A title this season.
And now it seems that the Red Devils are really about to beat Liverpool to the signing of Kim.
According to Il Mattino, Manchester United are preparing to trigger Kim’s release clause of €65 million (£56.5 million).
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have reportedly offer the 26-year-old central defender an annual salary of €9 million (£150,000 per week).

Liverpool now likely to miss out on Kim Min-jae to Manchester United
In our opinion, Manchester United now look set to sign Kim Min-jae ahead of Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
While Jurgen Klopp’s side remain interested in the 26-year-old, it seems that United are pressing ahead with their interest in the defender.
Kim is one of the best defenders in Serie A and has done extremely well for Napoli.
The South Korea international has scored two goals and given two assists in 34 Serie A matches for Napoli this season.
The 26-year-old also made nine appearances in the UEFA Champions League for Napoli this campaign.
