According to a report from the Sun, Manchester United have entered the race to sign Ajax winger David Neres, although they will face strong competition from Arsenal for his signature.

The Brazilian, 22, has been quite simply brilliant for the Dutch outfit this season, racking up an impressive 12 goals and 15 assists in 45 appearances in all competitions thus far.

Neres has so much talent, and he will undoubtedly go on to become one of the game’s best players.

The Sun claims that Ajax value the winger at £45 million, and Manchester United have entered the race to sign him.

Arsenal also want Neres, according to the Sun, and the Premier League giants could be set for a head-to-head battle for the South American this summer.

The 22-year-old possesses blistering pace, has exceptional technical ability, and his direct playing style makes him ideally suited to the intense nature of the Premier League.

Whether Manchester United or Arsenal win the race for his signature, however, remains to be seen.
