The Manchester United midfielder was reportedly open to joining West Bromwich Albion.

The Manchester United midfielder, Scott McTominay, was willing to drop to the Championship amid interest from West Bromwich Albion last month, according to The Sun.
However, the newspaper claims the Baggies saw a deadline day loan offer turned down by United, as the Premier League side prepared for Marouane Fellaini’s exit.
And McTominay is since said to have edged in front of Fred, a £52 million summer recruit, in Manchester United’s plans.
West Brom ultimately strengthened their central midfield options with the loan signing of Fulham’s Stefan Johansen – albeit a more offensive-minded player than McTominay.

And the Baggies’ alleged near miss has at least presented youngsters Sam Field and Rekeem Harper with further opportunities to impress.
McTomimay, who has also been used at centre-back by Manchester United, is a product of the Red Devils’ youth system and has played 35 times at senior level, not including his five caps for Scotland.
Would McTomimay have been a good addition for West Bromwich Albion?
