Manchester United are reportedly in the market for Barcelona’s Yerry Mina.

According to Catalan newspaper SPORT, Manchester United have asked Barcelona defender Yerry Mina to delay a decision on his future as he considers an ‘interesting’ offer from Everton.
The Red Devils are in the market for a new centre back this summer, despite Jose Mourinho already having the likes of Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo at his disposal.
Leicester City’s Harry Maguire appears to be a top target, but with the Foxes reluctant to sell, United have to consider other options in the final stages of the transfer window.
Now, Catalan newspaper SPORT claim that United are interested in Barcelona’s Yerry Mina, and have asked him to delay making a decision on a move to Everton until they know what their own situation is.
Mina is the fallback option to Maguire, but United have asked Barcelona about a deal, and will move ‘quickly’ to secure a €40million (£35million) deal for the Colombian centre back if talks stall with Leicester.
It’s noted that Everton have made him an ‘interesting’ offer, but they don’t have an agreement with Barcelona yet, and United are allegedly urging him to hold off on a decision in case they need him.

A move to Old Trafford may be appealing to Mina, who only joined Barcelona from Palmeiras in January, but struggled to make an impact behind Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti, before Barca also signed Clement Lenglet from Sevilla.
Mina, 23, did hit three goals in three games for Colombia at the World Cup, showing off his outstanding aerial ability, but the 6ft 5in defender needs to refine his game defensively – and Mourinho may well feel he can coach him up if he swerves a move to Everton and heads to Old Trafford instead.
