Nottingham Forest striker Ben Brereton has played three times for the first-team in recent weeks.

According to the Daily Mirror, Nottingham Forest forward Ben Brereton is of interest to both Manchester United and Liverpool.

Brereton scored his first senior goal for Forest in dream circumstances last weekend, as he volleyed home the winner in the last minute against Aston Villa.

The 17-year-old showed great composure to secure the three points for his side, and his talent has not gone unnoticed.

Liverpool and United are said to be tracking the youngster, who they feel can become a star of the future.

Liverpool had a £2.5 million bid rejected for the striker in January, while United are said to be considering making a move this summer.

Brereton is expected to get plenty more game time before the end of the campaign, as Gary Brazil has shown great faith in the youngster so far.

Brereton has made three appearances since the turn of the year, and looks to have an important role to play for the Reds.

Forest are understood to be keen to keep hold of Brereton, but they did sell Oliver Burke last summer, and Liverpool and United are both hopeful of completing a deal when the transfer window reopens.
