According to the The Guardian, Manchester City are looking to sign Aston Villa teenager Carney Chukwuemeka amid links to Liverpool.
The Times reported in February that Liverpool had shown an interest in signing Chukwuemeka, whilst even Juventus and Bayern Munich are keen.
It’s now suggested that Villa boss Dean Smith is considering giving Chukwuemeka his Premier League debut before the end of the season having been an unused substitute against Leicester in February.
The 17-year-old could end up leaving this summer though, with City keen to lure him over to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.
RB Leipzig, Monaco and PSV Eindhoven are also keen, and Goal note that he has actually compared himself to Manchester United ace Paul Pogba.
The same report carries quotes from Christian Purslow, in which the Villa CEO and ex-Liverpool man believes Chukwuemeka is the best player in England at his age.

Liverpool and City have been going head-to-head at the top of the Premier League table for a while now, and they have been linked with transfer battles too.
This one is very feasible. Both clubs want to sign the top young English talents, and Chukwuemeka is one of the brightest.
A battle between the two sides could emerge soon, and Villa may well feel that giving Chukwuemeka first-team football can help them keep him.
