According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City are keen to sign Atletico Madrid left back Renan Lodi.
It’s claimed that City are closely following Lodi ahead of a potential swoop to sign the Brazilian this year.
The report adds that a January deal is unlikely, but City are pursuing him with a view to signing Lodi over the summer.
Pep Guardiola is thought to want reinforcements at left back, with Benjamin Mendy a shadow of his former self whilst also falling foul of off-field issues.
Lodi could be seen as the long-term solution at left back, having impressed since joining Atletico from Athletico Paranaense in 2019.
The 22-year-old has now picked up eight Brazil caps, and Atletico would surely be in a position to demand a huge profit on the defender.

Lodi is quick and dangerous going forward, with Saul praising him for being ‘excellent at crossing’ last season.
That’s what City are looking for at left back, though much will depend on what Guardiola plans to do with Angelino, who is on loan at RB Leipzig.
