According to ESPN, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been offered to Barcelona as they consider striking options.
It’s claimed that Barca are focusing their attentions on signing a new striker this summer, with an upgrade needed on Martin Braithwaite.
Alexander Isak is believed to be a prime target, whilst Darwin Nunez, Lautaro Martinez and Memphis Depay have also been considered.
However, the report notes that Barca have also been offered Aguero, which would be by his agent rather than by City themselves.
Aguero is represented by the Eleven Talent Group, who have a host of Catalan agents involved, which may have played a factor in targeting Barca.
The 32-year-old is out of contract at City this summer, and it’s unclear whether he will be handed a new contract given his advancing years and injury issues.

Pep Guardiola has admitted that he can’t wait to pick Aguero soon now he is back in action, and letting a City legend go may not be easy for City so soon after losing Vincent Kompany and David Silva.
Still, Aguero was a star in Spain with Atletico Madrid before making his £38million move to City, and may fell fancy a move back to La Liga – if Barcelona do take up the offer to move for him.
