Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake is reportedly attracting interest from Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake is likely to sign for Manchester City, who has also been attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.
French outlet L’Equipe have claimed that centre-back Ake has been courted by both Spurs and City, but he could now be heading to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
It is said that a possible deal involving Ake and the Premier League champions Manchester City, could see the Dutchman move to the club for £40 million.
Ake has played for a team in the Champions League before when he represented Chelsea, but a loan move then a permanent switch to Bournemouth saw him having to make a name for himself elsewhere.
The left-footed player has done just that and it isn’t a surprise that City and Spurs are keen on his services this summer, as Bournemouth will do very well to keep hold of him.
Ake is your typical modern day defender. He is very comfortable with the ball at his feet, he likes to bring the ball out from the back and he is also very strong technically.

That would suit both Tottenham and City, with Pep Guardiola’s side seemingly looking for more defensive cover following the departure of Vincent Kompany.
It would be pretty tough to fill Kompany’s shoes, not just because of the qualities he brought on the pitch, but what he provided everyone else off it.
Either way, if Tottenham lose out to a player like Ake then it would be a blow to them because he can bring a lot to the table, not just for the present day, but in the long term future also.
