Manchester City have not given up hope of signing West Bromwich Albion captain Jonny Evans and are preparing a second improved bid for the defender, reports ESPN.
The Baggies have already rejected an £18m offer from City for Evans, but it is understood the player himself is keen on making the move to the Etihad Stadium.

Evans has played 65 games for the West Midlands side since his move from Old Trafford two years ago, but still lives in Manchester and the Champions League winner is thought to be tempted by playing in Europe’s biggest club competition again.
