Manchester City are close to selling Florian Lejeune.
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Premier League outfit Manchester City are on the verge of agreeing the sale of Florian Lejeune to Eibar.
While the likes of Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and Vincent Kompany among others have proven to be huge successes at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City have made a number of questionable signings over the past few years and defender Florian Lejeune is certainly one of them.
Lejeune arrived to Manchester from Spanish side Girona at the start of last season and was immediately loaned back to the club for a season.
The move is part of the partnership plan which would see the Spanish Segunda Division outfit support Manchester City in terms of accepting players on loan from the Premier League side in the coming years.
Nonetheless, many failed to see the logic behind City signing Lejeune and now according to reports from Mundo Deportivo, claims have been made that the 25-year-old is on the verge of a permanent exit from the Etihad Stadium.
Lejeune managed to impress a number of Spanish clubs with his performances for Girona last season and reports state that La Liga outfit Eibar are set to agree a deal worth £1.2 million to acquire the services of the former Villarreal central defender.
