According to The Independent, Manchester City are now willing to pay £150m for Harry Kane this summer.
Kane has been linked to City for months at this point, and the Cityzens have already made one offer for him, believed to be £100m.
However, despite the fact it was reported their next bid will be around €150m (£127m), the Independent are claiming that £150m will be their next offer, a figure that would shatter the British transfer record for the second time this summer.
So, will that be the magic number that finally gets Kane out of north London?
Well, apparently not.
Indeed, according to Miguel Delaney’s report, sources believe that £150m alone won’t be enough to convince Spurs to sell Kane.
However, it may be enough to re-open negotiations with Daniel Levy and with add-ons included, this deal could eventually get over the line.
This comes not long after it was reported that Levy had stopped taking phone calls or entertaining conversations about the sale of Kane, but after this ground-breaking bid, City may be about to make the Tottenham chairman pick up his phone again.
This saga is dragging on, and we’ve certainly not heard the end of this story yet, not by a long shot.
