The former Crystal Palace man could solve Manchester City’s goalkeeper shortage.

Diego Cavalieri could be set for a surprise move to Manchester City after his Crystal Palace contract expired.
According to Globo Esporte in Brazil, City made contact with Cavaleiri’s agent on Tuesday and enquired about the goalkeeper’s situation.
The Premier League champions have lost Claudio Bravo to a potentially long-term lay-off, leaving youngsters Daniel Grimshaw and Aro Muric as understudies to Ederson Moraes.
And Manchester City can still register free agents as long as they were out of contract prior to the window closing, as Cavalieri was.

The Brazilian arrived at Crystal Palace amid a similar goalkeeping crisis in February, but failed to make an appearance for the Eagles.
And Palace released him at the end of his short-term deal, with Vicente Guaita’s transfer already arranged.

Cavalieri, who also had a spell at Liverpool, has an Italian passport which would allow him to sign for an English club without issue.
