According to the Sun, the Citizens are lining up a £50 million swoop for Foxes centre-back Harry Maguire.

The 24-year-old has really impressed since making his £17 million switch to Leicester from Hull City in the summer, and Pep Guardiola is believed to be a big fan of the powerful defender.

He has played 25 games for the east Midlands outfit in all competitions this season, showcasing his composed nature when in possession, exceptional aerial ability, and a wonderful understanding of the game for someone still relatively young.

City have had problems in central defence this season, with Vincent Kompany and John Stones both struggling with persistent injuries, and the addition of another centre-back is the only real area where Guardiola would like to strengthen this month.

The Sun claim that the Spaniard is a big fan of Maguire, and is prepared to spend up to £50 million to secure his signature this month.

With the January transfer window now open and in full swing, this will certainly be one for both Man City and Leicester fans to keep a close eye on.
