Manchester United wanted Milan Skriniar in the summer, and Manchester City are looking at him in January, according to a report.

It has been reported that defending Premier League champions City wanted to sign Skriniar from Inter Milan last month.
However, Pep Guardiola’s side failed to bring the 24-year-old central defender to the Etihad Stadium, but they will renew their interest in the Slovakia international in January, according to the report.
According to The Express, United wanted to land Skriniar in the summer transfer window, but the Red Devils eventually signed England international centre-back Harry Maguire from Premier League rivals Leicester City for £80 million.
Centre-back needed at Manchester City
According to The Express, Aymeric Laporte faces a long spell on the sidelines with a knee injury, and City do need to sign a replacement.
Skriniar is a very good central defender, and the 24-year-old can only improve and develop in the coming years.
The Slovakian is one of the best players in his position in Serie A, and it is not going to be easy for City to get him from Inter in the middle of the season.
