Eliaquim Mangala is reportedly set to re-join Porto, five years after joining Premier League champions Manchester City for £32m.

Manchester City flop Eliaquim Mangala is set to return to Porto this summer with O Jogo reporting that he has already agreed a deal with the Primeira Liga giants.
The French international centre-back initially established himself as one of Europe’s most promising defenders during a three year spell at Porto between 2011 and 2014, winning two domestic titles to pave the way for a £32 million move to Manchester City (BBC).
But the Mangala who shone at the Estadio do Dragao looked a shadow of his very best at The Etihad with a disastrous own goal on his second appearance in City colours against Hull City a sign of things to come.
The 28-year-old rapidly slipped down the pecking order once Pep Guardiola replaced Manuel Pellegrini and didn’t make a single Premier League appearance as Manchester City won a second successive Premier League title in 2018/19.

And, with his contract set to expire in June, O Jogo reports that Mangala is set to make an emotional return to Porto on a free transfer.
The 2004 Champions League winners, who also re-signed Pepe in January, finished two points behind Benfica in the Primeira Liga table last season.
