The Manchester City prospect is said to be wanted by Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as clubs from overseas.

Manchester City fear Jadon Sancho is Arsenal bound, The Sun reports.

It is claimed that Sancho is wanted by both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur after stalling on City’s offer of a three-year deal worth £30,000 a week.

And the 17-year-old winger is said to want to quit the Etihad Stadium seeking ‘a clearer pathway to senior football’.

According to The Sun, Sancho has a soft spot for Arsenal and is keen on a move to the Emirates – despite Tottenham’s impressive track record of developing young English players in recent years.

Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Harry Winks are among those to have flourished at Spurs of late, but it is Arsene Wenger – and not Mauricio Pochettino or Pep Guardiola – who Sancho sees as his best bet to develop under.

A City source is quoted by The Sun as saying: “The club is worried Arsenal are frontrunners for Jadon as he has a soft spot for them.

“His family think he might get a quicker path to first-team action at either Arsenal or Tottenham.

“One of his heroes is ironically Alexis Sanchez. It’s proving difficult to get him to sign his first professional contract here.

“He is a top player, one of, if not the best in the youth system. It’s not about the money for him at all.”

Sancho moved to City from Watford two years ago and looks set to return south either this summer – providing a fee can be agreed for his transfer – or next, when his contract is due to expire.
