Manchester City could sign £10 million Polish sensation Michal Karbownik and loan him to Leeds United next season, according to claims reported by Sport.pl.
While Jack Harrison might never succeed in forcing his way into Manchester City’s star-studded squad, a winger contracted to the Premier League champions will return to the Etihad this summer a far superior footballer to the one who headed out on loan two years ago.
The improvements Harrison has made over the last ten months or so have been nothing short of remarkable. The one-time Man United starlet has been a man transformed by Marcelo Bielsa, conjuring up moments of magic on a weekly basis ever since Christmas.
And, if reports from Poland are to be believed, Karbownik could be following in Harrison’s footsteps during the upcoming transfer window.
Rated at £10 million by Legia Warsaw, the 19-year-old full-back might be too expensive for Leeds. Man City, however, can probably find a spare £10 million down the back of the sofa.

And Sport suggests that Pep Guardiola’s giants, if they win the race for the much-admired Karbownik, would trust Leeds to develop one of Europe’s hottest talents during a short-term spell in West Yorkshire.
Guardiola is one of Bielsa’s most committed disciples of course. He knows better than anyone that Leeds’ enigmatic tactician has a remarkable track record when it comes to helping youngsters realise their potential.
Karbownik, a rampaging, typically modern full-back almost tailor-made for ‘Bielsaball’ could also solve Leeds’ problem position on the left-hand side.
