Manchester City could sign the best player Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ever managed this summer in Robert Lewandowski, ESPN report.

City are touted as potential candidates to land the Bayern Munich striker, with a £60 million bid potentially enough to land the lethal striker.

City are known to be on the hunt for a new number nine with Sergio Aguero set to leaving, and if Lewandowski was to arrive that would surely scare the rest of the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp, in particular, would surely be worried for Liverpool’s title chances if the transfer was to go ahead.

Liverpool have fallen short this season, but a big improvement is expected from them next term, when their key players return.

Unfortunately catching City will be easier said than done if they do have Lewandowski in they squad.

“Robert Lewandowski,” Klopp said to BILD earlier this year, when asked for the best player he’s ever managed.

“It actually won’t be fair to say that about any other player except Lewy [..] What he has made out of his potential, how he pushed himself to become the player he is today, that’s extraordinary.”

If there has been one singular issue with City’s side this term is that they have lacked a pure goalscorer.

But with Lewandowski in their side there must be a real concern that they could become unstoppable for any of the teams in the chasing pack.
