According to Tutto Mercato Web, Manchester City are closing in on the signing of Enrik Ostrc from NK Olimpija.
The 18-year-old will cost Pep Guardiola’s side €3 million (£2.7 million), and will sign a four-and-a-half year contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Tutto Mercato Web add that Ostrc will undergo his medical with the Citizens today, before putting pen to paper on his transfer to England.
Additionally, the Italian news outlet write that the Slovenian won’t be staying at Manchester City for too long.
Tutto Mercato Web reveal that Ostrc will immediately join French side Troyes AC on loan, who currently sit top of France’s Ligue 2.

Understandably, Troyes AC are owned by the City Football Group.
The Slovenia Under-19 international should hopefully get plenty of game time with Troyes AC, which will surely benefit his development.
Ostrc has made 14 appearances this season for NK Olimpija, while also gaining Europa League experience in the qualification rounds.

It goes without saying that Guardiola probably won’t be using the teenager anytime soon, given the vast array of midfield talent already in Manchester.
It feels as if the defensive midfielder has been signed as one for the future, so it will be interesting to see how he gets on in France.
Could he be the heir to Fernandinho’s throne? We’ll just have to wait and see.
