According to the Daily Mail, Celtic have been handed a major boost as Manchester City have given Patrick Roberts permission to play against them in the Champions League.
Celtic secured their place in the Champions League group stages earlier this week as they progressed past Hapoel Be’er Sheva, despite a 2-0 defeat in Israel.
They were rewarded for their efforts with a place in Group C alongside Manchester City, Barcelona and Borussia Monchengladbach.

They would have feared that Roberts would be unavailable for the two games against Pep Guardiola’s side, with loan players often not allowed to play against their parent club.
However, according to the Daily Mail Manchester City will allow him to play with City chief Txiki Begiristain suggesting that would be the case to the club’s official website.
“Yes, why not? Our target is to make him a better play and play in games such as this so we will see,” he told mancity.com.

The news will come as a welcome relief to Brendan Rodgers, who would have been concerned at losing Roberts for the two games.
The youngster has established himself as a first team star since joining on an 18-month loan in January with a series of impressive performances under his belt.
Losing him, even for two games, would have been a major blow to their hopes but their Champions League rivals appear to be willing to do them a favour.
