According to The Daily Mail, Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in appointing Vítor Pereira as their new manager.

Nuno, who has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, will leave Wolves after this Sunday’s game against Manchester United.

Pereira is reportedly a contender for the Wolves managerial role.

This is not the first time that the 52-year-old has been linked with the Wanderers.

Back in October 2016, O Jogo reported that Wolves were looking at the Portuguese to replace Walter Zenga.

Zenga was the Wolves manager from the end of July 2016 until October 2016, and the Wanderers’ search for a replacement led them to Pereira.

Nothing materialised then, but maybe things could change now.

The 52-year-old is without a managerial job at the moment and is also the client of super-agent Jorge Mendes.

The Portuguese has been in the management business for several years now and is very experienced.

Pereira has taken charge of 419 matches in his career and has won 242 of them.

The Portuguese has a points-per-match average of 1.96.

Pereira is also a serial winner. The 52-year-old has won a total of eight trophies in his career.
