Celtic have been told by Eddie Howe that he is ready to take the job, Give Me Sport suggests.
Howe was heavily linked with Celtic weeks ago, but with other vacancies opening up, it seems that the former Bournemouth manager wanted to asses his options.
As a result Howe delayed on committing to signing a new contract at Celtic.
The 43-year-old boss, who has already won 228 games in his managerial career, was then interviewed by Crystal Palace, but the meeting reportedly did not go well.
That means that Howe has now told Celtic that he is keen to take their post, as he looks to get back into management.
Howe’s decision to delay taking over at Celtic may make some supporters doubtful over his commitment.

However, on the face of it, the Englishman looks like a potentially exciting appointment.
Howe was once touted as one of the Premier League’s brightest, young managers and the hope is that his innovative ideas could get Celtic back to the top of the pile in Scotland again.
Celtic slipped behind Rangers in the Scottish Premiership title race this term, and whoever takes over has a major job on their hands, to arrest the slide that the Bhoys have been on this year.
