According to TyC, Marcelo Gallardo is wanted by Sevilla amid rumours he’s been approached by Leeds United to replace Jesse Marsch.
As we all know, Sevilla are a strong, competitive club that have been performing consistently in recent years and have established themselves as one of the top teams in Europe, winning countless Europa League titles. Their interest in Gallardo is understandable given his impressive record in management and their recent struggles.
Indeed, while Sevilla have been competing at the top table in recent years, this season they’ve struggled. They’re 16th in La Liga and they are looking to turn their fortunes around.

Leeds United, are also reportedly interested in bringing the Argentine manager to Elland Road. Leeds have been in the market for a new manager after the sacking of Jesse Marsch and Gallardo is believed to be one of the top names on their list.
However, in our view, Gallardo may be more inclined to take up a role at Sevilla due to the fact that he reportedly has reservations about the language barrier in England. He may feel more comfortable in Spain where he would be able to communicate more easily with his players and staff.
In addition to this, Sevilla have been performing much better than Leeds in recent years, and it may not be too tough of a job to get the Spanish outfit competing in Europe once again.
Where Gallardo ends up remains to be seen, but one thing seems to be certain, the South American is set for his first job in European football very soon.
