Leeds United striker Ryan Edmondson is on the radar of Aberdeen, according to The Daily Record.

It has been reported that Aberdeen have made a move for the young striker and want to sign him on a loan deal in the summer transfer window.

The report had added that Dons manager Derek McInnes hopes to bring in the 19-year-old before Saturday’s match against Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.

Good move for Ryan Edmondson?

Edmondson is only 19 years of age, and it is clear that he is not going to feature regularly for Leeds in the Premier League next season.

The teenager has had injury problems in recent times, and that has impeded him from making an impact on the first team at the Whites.

Aberdeen are a big and ambitious club, and Edmondson would be in a very good and competitive environment.

A short-term loan deal would make Edmondson a better footballer and would prepare him for what’s in store for him at Leeds in the long run.

Edmondson has been on the books of the West Yorkshire outfit since 2017.
