West Ham United held talks to appoint Christophe Galtier – but have now decided to stick with David Moyes instead.
Christophe Galtier has missed out on the West Ham United job as they chose to keep David Moyes.
That is according to 90Min, who claim that West Ham explored their options for a managerial change.
Fulham boss Marco Silva and Lille’s Paulo Fonseca were both considered and talks were held with their representatives.
The big move came when West Ham allegedly met with Galtier – and the Frenchman was keen on making the move to England.
Galtier is set to be axed as Paris Saint-Germain boss despite winning the Ligue 1 title this past season.
Galtier was interested in an immediate return to management with West Ham but the Hammers have stuck with Moyes instead.
It had looked like Moyes would be leaving the club after a rather difficult season in the Premier League.
Yet having won the Europa Conference League, Moyes has now kept his job and left Galtier to wonder where he will end up next.

Who is Christophe Galtier?
Galtier had a strong playing career, enjoying two spells at Marseille whilst also turning out for Lille, Toulouse, angers, Nimes, Monza and Liaoning as a defender.
Galtier turned to coaching with Marseille, Aris and Bastia before then following Alain Perrin around the world.
The 56-year-old worked as Perrin’s assistant coach at Al Ain, Portsmouth, Sochaux, Lyon and Saint-Etienne, so he has worked in the Premier League before.
Galtier then stepped up to replace Galtier as Saint-Etienne boss in 2009, guiding the club to safety before embarking on an outstanding period.
Galtier spent seven-and-a-half years in charge of Saint-Etienne, racking up more than 350 games and even winning the Coupe de la Ligue in 2013.

Lille came calling in 2017 and Galtier took them to incredible heights by winning the LIgue 1 title in 2021.
The likes of Mike Maignan, Sven Botman, Jonathan David, Renato Sanches and Boubakary Soumare all excelled under Galtier in an incredible campaign.
Galtier surprisingly chose to leave though, moving to Nice where he spent just one season in charge before landing the PSG job.
Managing PSG isn’t easy and despite winning the Ligue 1 title, Galtier is set to be sacked having fallen short of expectations in the Champions League.
Galtier may not be quite cut out for the absolute elite level but in terms of helping teams punch above their weight, he has more than proven himself.
A move to West Ham would have been very interesting for that reason, and he may be a name to keep an eye on if things go wrong for Moyes.
