Manchester City have reportedly joined Liverpool in the race for Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala, who could leave the Serie A giants this summer for free.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Premier League leaders are keeping tabs on the Argentine international and his current situation with the Old Lady. Dybala’s contract ends at the end of the season, and talks over a new contract are seemingly stalling.
As per the report, Pep Guardiola is a huge fan of the player, with the Catalan coach labelling Dybala as ‘a very good player’. And with the attacker’s contract coming to an end, an opportunity is there for City to land a bargain.
The Manchester giants aren’t alone, though, in the race to sign Dybala. As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Liverpool are also chasing the 28-year-old, with Jurgen Klopp viewing the forward as a potential replacement for Roberto Firmino.
With former Palermo owner Maurizio Zamparini comparing Dybala’s style of play to one Lionel Messi, it’s no shock that City are now chasing the attacker, who could be perfect for Guardiola’s system.
Dybala is perfect for City, yet Liverpool move could be tempting

Able to play as a no. 10 or as the lone striker, Dybala is the ideal player to lead the line in City’s current system, with the Manchester side rotating between the likes of Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne as the man up-top.
Despite the perfection City offer for Dybala, Liverpool could also be a tempting proposition for the Juventus star given how the club is run and the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Indeed, the future of Dybala will be an interesting one to follow in the coming months, and with City and Liverpool keen on the Argentine superstar, there could be a great transfer battle on the horizon this summer.
