Manchester City have reportedly offered Cristian Ronaldo a two-year deal with the club worth €15m (£13m) a season.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Premier League champions are the only viable club the footballing icon can move to this window.
Ronaldo is keen to leave Juventus this summer, and City appear to be in pole position for the attacker.
However, City are not willing to pay a transfer fee for the 36-year-old striker. And as per the report, Juventus will not sell Ronaldo unless they receive some form of payment for the Portuguese captain.
The Serie A side would take a swap deal involving Gabriel Jesus. However, Pep Guardiola is not willing to allow the City striker to leave in exchange for Ronaldo. The Brazilian is the club’s only natural centre-forward.
Indeed, with five days of the transfer window left to go, it is set to be a dramatic conclusion to a summer that has already seen ground-breaking transfers happen around Europe.

City themselves have already played their role, with the Manchester giants paying a British record fee to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa as reported by BBC Sport. And Ronaldo could be the next major addition to the club.
With Harry Kane set to remain at Tottenham this summer, the Premier League side need a striker. And Ronaldo could just be an option for City with under a week remaining in the transfer window.
