Manchester City are reportedly closing in on their second signing of the January transfer window in 17-year-old Hungarian talent Zalan Vancsa.
According to the Telegraph, the Premier League giants have beaten the likes of Bayern Munich and AC Milan to the signing of the teenage attacker, who has been a star for MTK Budapest this season.
As per the report, Vancsa is set to become City’s second signing of the January window after River Plater star Julian Alvarez. Whilst the deal is yet to be confirmed, Fabrizio Romano has announced on Twitter that the deal is done.
And now, Vancsa will follow in Alvazrez’s footsteps to the Etihad Stadium, As per the Telegraph, though, it is not yet known if the attacker will join up with the Manchester side or remain in Budapest for the season.
A tricky attacker who this season broke a 100-year record as MTK’s youngest goalscorer in the Hungarian top-flight as per Goal, big things are expected of Vancsa, who is the latest of a long line of promising talents coming from the central European nation.
And for City, they have once again secured the signature of one of Europe’s most exciting prospects, with Pep Guardiola’s side in recent years ramping up their youth recruitment across the globe.

Whilst some big teams were chasing Vancsa in Bayern and Milan, there’s no doubt that the 17-year-old has made the right decision to join City, with the Manchester side proving to be a good club for youth development in recent years.
The likes of Phil Foden and Gabriel Jesus have thrived at City when given the chance under Guardiola. And for Vancsa, the winger could one day make the step into the first team should he follow the career path many expect for him to take ahead of this move to England.
