Manchester City are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa in a blockbuster move.

According to the Athletic, Pep Guardiola’s side are at an ‘advanced stage’ with the Midlands club for the signing of the England international.

The Premier League champions have been chasing Grealish for the majority of the summer.

The future of the Villa captain has been a hotly covered story during this window. Indeed, reports have suggested that Grealish could sign a new deal with Dean Smith’s side, as per the Sun and the Telegraph.

However, it now appears that a move to City is more likely for the Euro 2020 star. Although a transfer fee is yet to be revealed, Grealish will presumably cost the Manchester giants a Premier League record fee.

Grealish can take Manchester City to a new level

Indeed, it will be a move that could cement City’s status as a Premier League dynasty. Guardiola once admitted to the Manchester Evening News that he believes Grealish is an ‘incredible’ player.

And his qualities would elevate the team to whole new level.

With the 25-year-old attacker creating the third-most chances in the Premier League and being one of Europe’s best ball-carrying wingers, it’s understandable why City are eager to sign Grealish this summer.

Moreover, with Kevin De Bruyne starting to pick up more frequent injuries, City need an extra player to act as the creative heartbeat of the side. And in Grealish, they will have the perfect solution to help alongside the Belgian superstar.
