Sandro has only made seven starts since moving to Everton from the Spanish side.
Malaga have made an offer to take their former striker Sandro Ramirez from Everton on loan, according to the Mirror (live blog entry: 16:39).
Everton matched Sandro’s £5.2 million buyout clause (Liverpool Echo) five months ago, but the Spaniard has only made seven starts for his new employers.
He’s only scored one goal too, and could fall further down the Toffees’ pecking order in January, after Sam Allardyce admitted his desire to add a goalscorer (Guardian).
According to the Mirror, ‘the size of Sandro’s contract’ could prove a stumbling block for Malaga, who would likely welcome his return after 16 goals in 31 appearances last season.
Spanish football expert Guillem Balague claimed last month that there is a possibility Sandro could leave Everton on loan in January, although he did cast doubt on Malaga’s chances.
“I’ve been surprised that Sandro hasn’t made an impact at Everton, we said earlier in the season that he could be a surprise package if he was looked after, played and felt important,” said Balague during a Sky Sports Q&A session. “That hasn’t happened so there is possibility of getting him on loan, not so much to Malaga but Valencia are interested in him as well.”
Oumar Niasse and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are seemingly ahead of Sandro in Allardyce’s plans, while Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson have also featured in central attacking roles this season.
