Aston Villa chief commercial officer Luke Organ joined Aston Villa in 2016.

Aston Villa chief commercial officer Luke Organ has been axed by the club after two years in his role, according to a report.
Birmingham Live are reporting that the decision was made by CEO Christian Purslow earlier this month as he continues his major shake-up behind the scenes.
Organ joined Villa in December 2016 when Dr Tony Xia still held full ownership of the Championship outfit, but since the summer, there has been new investment at the club in Naseef Sawaris and Wes Edens.
The report states that Organ was well-liked by those at Villa Park as it pointed towards him taking on extra responsibility during the summer of upheaval following the play-off final defeat to Fulham in May.
It is said Villa are now considering a number of candidates to fill Organ’s role as the club aims to boost revenue streams ahead of another promotion push this season.
Villa started the campaign with Steve Bruce in the dugout, but he was sacked by the club in October following their 3-3 draw at home to Preston North End, with Dean Smith replacing the four-time promotion winner.

The Midlands outfit are currently sitting outside of the play-off places as they prepare for the visit of Championship pacesetters Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.
Smith’s side, who are the second highest scorers in the division this term, are unbeaten in their last seven matches, but their weekend opponents have won five games on the spin.
